The daily examen

The Jesuit examen — practiced daily for 500 years — asks two questions at the end of each day: Where was I most alive, most fully myself, most in the current? And where did I contract, resist, or show up as less than I am? No self-judgment — just honest noticing. Practiced over time, it is one of the most quietly transforming habits in the tradition.
